Kuressaare’s culture projects will not be financed this year
Mayor Mati Mäetalu said to Meie Maa that they can not divide divide money that they do not have adding also that basically their budget is in crisis right now.
“The fact that culture can not be financed this year, does not mean that the number will be zero next year also,” added Mäetalu.
“But if there is some extraordinary or special idea and seems like the city should support the project then it is possible to make a request,” he specified.
Kuressaare Cultural Service’s cultural manager Maris Rebel says that now there is just one more spot less to ask money from and the local cultural endowment will have a bigger load.
