Teeme Ara – Minu Eesti Goes International!
After the success gained in the past few years and the coverage international media dedicated to the “Teeme Ära – Minu Eesti”(Let’s do it!” for non Estonian speakers), a collective cleaning action started in 2008, the project breaks the Estonian borders and goes “international”.
According to “Let’s Do It” media manager Tiina Urm, some 30 foreign volunteers from 7 different countries quill come this weekend to Estonia to share their views on the project and exchange different experiences.
Ms. Urm explained how, since the success of the massive cleaning operation organized back in 2008, one of the main focus of My Estonia organizers has been to involve foreigners using some news channels as social media and YouTube : “New channels work well: every week letters arrive from ordinary people from different countries who think that event was inspiring,”
After the event organized in 2008, the following campaign organized by My Estonia moved from being a mere cleaning action for becoming an idea generation campaign: “When we started we didn’t know exactly how to do it, the idea seemed necessary. It seems that time for such undertakings has arrived elsewhere too,” said Urm commenting the fact that massive cleaning actions have been announced also in Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Latvia and India.
Also 2010 will see a new edition of the campaign and the organizational team said that this year every member will be free to choose how to give her or his contribution with some cleaning, building, planting, beatifying, thinking or whatever they need most, together with others.

For clearification the action is called Let's do it world http://www.letsdoitworld.org
