Learn how to make Estonian bread
The second event organized within the project “52 Ideas and Surprises“ offers the possibility to learn how to make Estonian bread according to ancient recipes.
Black rye bread has been the main food for Estonians through the ages and what makes it special, is that it is made with leaven not yeast.
The workshop takes place at the basement of European oldest pharmacy, Raeapteek (at Raekoja square) on Friday and Saturday. But those who are interested should hurry up as there is room only for 15 people and it is necessary to pre-register by sending an e-mail to siljale@gmail.com.
“52 Ideas and Surprises” is an idea competition in the frame of Tallinn becoming European Capital of Culture 2011. The purpose is to count down weeks with 52 different activities that would make the waiting more exciting and cultural.
