Estonians Are Worried about Their Pensions

As reported by Postimees/LETA, at least one fifth of Estonians are worried about the future and somehow think that they will not receive the pension they would like to.

According to Saar Poll’s Flash Eurobarometer study, 21.1% of the interviewees declared that they assume their pension will be less than what they expect and very similar number of them (20.7 per cent) think that they should start finding ways to save money for the retirement age.

15.2 per cent of the people also think that they will have to retire later than expected.

Besides, it is alarming to see that 15.6 per cent of the people interviewed are more than worried about the fact that, in the near future, they might not have an adequate income to live in a dignified way.

  1. You can write the same article for every European country. For example for France, 76% of the French are also worried about their pensions, and many think they will get less than expected or have to work longer: 68 % think it will come at 65, and 24 % think only at 70 years.
