The beauty of Estonia possibly becomes ruined with a huge number of used bottles and cans, which are brought back to its nature unless the system of package deposits is fixed.

Jaanus Tamkivi, Estonian Environment Minister, stated that “making package deposits voluntary would means a collapse to the whole system, which would bring used bottles and cans back to the nature”

Although, the system of depositing used bottles and cans to the containers with 0.50 cent or 1 kroon is paid back, has been working perfectly. But, this system might be crumpled since the manufacturers will have to be responsible for the extra cost or else the price of products will be rising up.

Tamkivi added “we will see in the first summer after the law amendment comes in force how recreational areas are filled with cans and bottles.

If the following system happens to be collapsed we might then be forced to wave goodbye to the beauty of Estonian nature.
