After some initial doubts about the participation of Estonia in the next Eurovision Song Contest, finally March 6th will hold the national final in which will be elected the Estonian artist that will participate on next year’s festival, held in Oslo.

The Eesti Laul format, that turned out to be quite successful already in 2009, will be used again and artists will be able to submit their songs until 7th January.
By then a jury will elect the best 10 to compete among them in the final scheduled for March, where the national winner will be elected by a mixed system of jury and televotes.

The Estonian’s Eurovision history became important in 2000 when Ines and her song “Once in a Lifetime” was awarded with the 4th place and it then exploded in 2001 when Estonia improved and won the festival with the song “Everybody” by the national icon Tanel Padar.

Last year Estonia got through to the final of the competition, after four years failing, and finally staid 6th competing with the song Rändajad from Urban Symphony guided by the charming Sandra Nurmsalu.
