Music and theatre:
One of the big events is certainly the international new music festival NYYD 09. This year the festival is dedicated to music theatre and multimedia projects.

The main guests of the festival are Heiner Goebbels from Germany and Georges Aperghis from France. Several concerts and shows will be held.

One of the most exciting ones isalso definately Märt-Matis Lill’s chamber opera ” Indiate uurimine” in Von Krahl theatre.
The piece is a great experience already because of the venue. The composer promised that you can see passion and riot. They will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of October at 19.00 in Von Krahl theatre.

Film:
Our film fans have the chance to enjoy some good European cinema again- on every Thursday in the European Union House ( Rävala 4, entrance from Laikmaa street) where the European movie nights are held.
You are all welcome on Thursdays at 18.00, free of charge!

On this Thursday, on the 22nd of October the choice was ”Made in Hungįria”, an Hungarian movie from 2009 directed by: Gergely Fonyó shown with English subtitles.

Art:
Thursdays are always busy days on our art and culture field because of several exhibition openings.

Yesterday, 17.00 in Vabaduse gallery, Lev Vassiljev’s exhibition ” Sügisene” ( ” Autumnal”) has been officially opened.

Lev Vassiljev realized nude compositions with an erotic tone throughout decades and in this particular exhibition there he will offer his painting from the last three years and compositions of intensive colour with abstract figurativeness.

The exhibition will be open until the 11th of November.
