Hannah Ild Has a New Magazine in UK

The first question coming to the mind of a non-Estonian is: who is Hannah Ild?

Even if in Estonia she is indeed popular, it is probable that in the market she wants to breech – UK – people do not really know that she is a songwriter, singer and pianist coming from Tallinn, Estonia.

And it is not impossible that there people also ignore about her second place in the Estonian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with her own song “Lonely Soul”. Perhaps they do not even know that in 2001 her song “Salaja” became the greatest hit in the Estonian Pop History.

And, if this is all true, how to make Hannah more popular in the UK?

This is probably the question that kept busy the Public Relations firm “Quite Great Communications” and resulted in the production of a newspaper about the artist and thus promotes her figure and music in the Anglo-Saxon country.

Ben Titchmarsh, senior press officer from this company explains how they have managed to have this curious initiative:  “PR firms in the music business often face the challenge of promoting in the UK media a star who is massive abroad, so we had an idea – why not to generate column inches ourselves  in a  paper devoted solely to the artist we are promoting?”

So, following this approach they have created “The Daily Hannah” with the aim of providing information about the singer, promoting his new single called “Shadow on the wall” as well as providing information on Estonia and Tallinn’s upcoming European City of Culture 2011 status. Giving to its readers also the chance to win a free trip to the country.

Surely a good business for Ms. Hannah Ild who, while trying to become a new British pop-idol, is already  the new image for the Estonian tourism campaign.
