Following the wave of protest that is invading Estonian hospitals now that the Government is trying to adopt massive cuts onestonia health a already abused sector, the Union of Nurses and the Union of Estonian Health Workers Unions sent a joint appeal to the Government, which, in particular, warns about a possible Russian “invasion” once all the most skilled Estonian doctors will leave the country looking for better working conditions.

The request they submitted to the Government asks to avoid cuts in order to preserve the “excellent working and effective health system based largely on workers” Estonia built gradually overtime and forget about Euro if this has to become a social threat.

According to Unionists “reducing health care workers would save money, but no hospital worker will be able to treat patients”  and then people who can afford leaving the country would try heading to Finland to get his body and life treated as deserved.

Right few hours before the strike that took place in Toompea next to Steinbock House, the Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip judged “against human dignity” the social workers helping people in the public transports: we are curious to know what he will say the next time he will be recovered into a hospital.

Hopefully soon.
