Unemployment Rate Reached 17% in Estonia
Eurostat latest figures shows that the unemployment rate in Estonia kept rising and reached the 17 percent in June.
At the moment Estonia is the third worst performer in the whole European Union with an unemployment rate better than only Latvia (17.2 percent) and Spain (18.1 percent) while on the top of the chart Netherlands and Austria guide the Union with 3.3 and 4.4 per cent
The year-over.-year analysis shows how the rate of unemployment increased in all the Member States bringing the Union average unemployment rate to 8.9% and, so, 21.5 million people to be without a job partially because of the financial crunch and partially – voters should never forget this during elections – because of the lack of vision and courage of the governing coalitions throughout the EU.
