Estonia Will Support Business Abroad
Speaking in front of an interested public of Estonian diplomats and entrepreneurs before the starts of the annual meeting days for the Foreign Ministry’s economics officials, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet confirmed his will of easing the life of Estonian businessmen abroad.
“In the situation that an Estonian entrepreneur needs help finding export markets or an investment, the Foreign Ministry is prepared for multi-faceted co-operation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the entrepreneur,” he said. “For example, potential partners of Estonian businesses have an increasingly easier time travelling to Estonia from countries that have no Estonian representation thanks to the visa representation agreements we have signed.”
While the closure of the first quarter of 2009 is approaching without leaving too much room for hopes, the national ambassadors to CEE countries met with local entrepreneurs and officials from the Chamber of Commerce to discuss how to support the development of Estonian business and to build a better network between the different actors actively involved in the market.
“Foreign Ministry and its diplomats actively follow the interests of Estonian entrepreneurs and are prepared to support the activities of Estonian businessmen by finding foreign contacts and opportunities” said the Minister hoping that such events - the second in few weeks – will bring positive outcomes to the growth of the Estonian business.
